Custom neon signs made to order
Your text, your colour, your size. We bend the LED flex by hand, mount it on cast acrylic and ship it to your Dutch address within three working days.
What "made to order" means here
On a lot of webshops, made to order means you pick a colour from a list and your text gets set in one of three available typefaces. Here there is no mould waiting. Every tube is bent for your design, and the acrylic plate is cut to the shape of your letters.
It also means you can ask for things that are not possible elsewhere: one word in a different colour from the rest, a plate shaped like your logo instead of a rectangle, or a two-metre sign that arrives in two parts so it fits through your door.
How the price is built up
We count the actual length of bent tube, not the number of letters. That surprises people: a short name in a thick, wide letter costs more than a longer sentence in a thin script, simply because it takes more metres of tube.
- Tube length — the biggest factor. More metres means more material and more bending.
- Plate area — 6 mm cast acrylic, cut to shape.
- Number of breaks — every separate letter or element is an extra connection.
- Indoor or outdoor — an outdoor build gets different cable glands, cable and power supply.
In the design tool you watch that price change live as you type and drag. No "request a price" and then three days of waiting.
Which size suits your wall
The mistake people make most often: ordering too small. In a photo everything looks bigger than it is. A useful rule of thumb for a single line of text:

Not sure? Stick a strip of masking tape on the wall at the width you have in mind and leave it there for a day. That works better than any calculation.
What comes with it
A sign, a 12 V power supply with a dimmer on the cable, the mounting kit that matches how you are hanging it, and a short set of instructions. Plug and play: into the socket and it lights up.

What actually ends up on your wall
Most neon signs look identical in a photo. The difference is in the thickness of the silicone, the plate behind it and the LEDs inside. Tap a point to see what we use.
The neon flex itself6 or 8 mm silicone LED flex, bent by hand. 8 mm for large letters and outdoor work, 6 mm when it needs to stay fine.
The glowThe gap between tube and plate decides how the halo reads. We set it so the light hits the wall without the LEDs showing.
The power supplyA 12 V supply with proper headroom. A driver running at 95 % of its rating gets hot, and heat costs you lifespan.
The LEDs insideUltra bright LEDs with a tight bin selection, so the colour stays even along the whole run. Cheap strips already drift after a metre.
The backing plate6 mm cast acrylic, laser cut to the shape of your design. Cast rather than extruded: clearer, and it does not craze.

How quickly will my sign arrive in the Netherlands?
Three working days after you approve the design. We build your sign in our workshop in Heusden-Zolder and ship from there to your Dutch address. So yes, the parcel crosses a border — that is already counted in those three days.
Order on a Friday afternoon and approve on Monday morning and Thursday is your day. Sundays do not count.
What does shipping to the Netherlands cost?
Nothing. Shipping to any Dutch address is included. The Wadden Islands too, although those sometimes take a day longer.
What does a custom neon sign cost?
Most signs for the home land between € 180 and € 450. For a shopfront or a bar, expect € 400 to € 1,200 depending on width and letter count.
Price follows the metres of bent tube, not the number of characters. A short name in a heavy typeface costs more than a long sentence in a thin script. The design tool shows it live.
I only have my logo as a JPG. Is that a problem?
Send it over. We redraw your logo as a bendable path ourselves, and that is included in the price. A sharp JPG or PNG is enough; an SVG, AI or EPS just makes it faster.
What we cannot do is turn a photo with fifty gradients into neon. Neon is a line of light, not a print. The design mock-up shows you exactly what survives.
Do I see the design before you start?
Always. You get a to-scale design with dimensions. Nothing goes on the bending table until you say yes. That mock-up is free, even if you decide not to order.
How much power does a sign use?
Far less than people expect. A 60 cm sign draws roughly 12 to 20 watts — about the same as a compact fluorescent. Run it eight hours a day and at € 0.35 per kWh that is around € 20 a year.
