Neon for your gaming setup
Behind a setup full of RGB, a neon sign is the only light with a shape. Which is why it stands out — as long as its colour does not fight the rest.
Pick one colour, not five
If your keyboard, cooling and LED strip are already cycling through every colour, an RGB neon sign becomes one more voice in the choir. One fixed colour works better: it gives your setup an anchor for the eye to go to.
Practically: pick a colour that does not appear in your existing lighting yet, or exactly the one you use most.
If you stream or record
This is where cheap signs let you down. A lot of power supplies drive the LEDs with pulse width modulation. Your eye averages that out, but a camera sensor does not: on stream you get bands rolling across the picture, or a sign that pulses.
Mention at the order that it will be on camera and we supply a flicker-free power supply. Worth knowing too: neon blows out on camera sooner than you expect — a slightly bigger sign on a lower dim setting gives a nicer picture than a small one at full power.
Size behind a desk
Above a 140 cm desk, a sign of 60 to 80 cm sits most comfortably. Hanging it on the wall behind your chair (the classic stream shot)? Then it can be bigger: 80 to 120 cm fills the frame better.
Hanging it without holes
Renting? Then choose a plate with mounting tape instead of screw holes. On a smooth, clean wall that holds perfectly well and leaves nothing behind. On wallpaper or textured paint we would advise against it — there, screws and plugs are more reliable.

How quickly will my sign arrive in the Netherlands?
Three working days after you approve the design. We build your sign in our workshop in Heusden-Zolder and ship from there to your Dutch address. So yes, the parcel crosses a border — that is already counted in those three days.
Order on a Friday afternoon and approve on Monday morning and Thursday is your day. Sundays do not count.
What does shipping to the Netherlands cost?
Nothing. Shipping to any Dutch address is included. The Wadden Islands too, although those sometimes take a day longer.
What does a custom neon sign cost?
Most signs for the home land between € 180 and € 450. For a shopfront or a bar, expect € 400 to € 1,200 depending on width and letter count.
Price follows the metres of bent tube, not the number of characters. A short name in a heavy typeface costs more than a long sentence in a thin script. The design tool shows it live.
I only have my logo as a JPG. Is that a problem?
Send it over. We redraw your logo as a bendable path ourselves, and that is included in the price. A sharp JPG or PNG is enough; an SVG, AI or EPS just makes it faster.
What we cannot do is turn a photo with fifty gradients into neon. Neon is a line of light, not a print. The design mock-up shows you exactly what survives.
Do I see the design before you start?
Always. You get a to-scale design with dimensions. Nothing goes on the bending table until you say yes. That mock-up is free, even if you decide not to order.
How much power does a sign use?
Far less than people expect. A 60 cm sign draws roughly 12 to 20 watts — about the same as a compact fluorescent. Run it eight hours a day and at € 0.35 per kWh that is around € 20 a year.
